A Minimalist Vegan Makeup Routine!
Looking for new ideas on how to spice up your makeup routine? How about using less? This may sound crazy but just hear us out!
It's well known that makeup can clog pores and cause acne - especially if you forget to remove it at night. By using less, you're limiting the risk of this happening! Plus, being more mindful of your makeup use can help you save money in the long run - it's a win/win in our book!
How to have a minimalist makeup bag? Look to your staple items and try reducing the rest. What items are your go-to every day wear? Pull those out and place them in a convenient location. We like to carry our staple items in a cute organic cotton bag.
Next, are there suitable vegan, cruelty-free, or organic alternatives out there you can use? Investigate ALL cosmetics and their practices (as well as their materials) to ensure you're putting only the healthiest ingredients on your skin.
Finally, be mindful about your makeup consumption. Are you heavy handed on the eyeliner and putting a thick layer of foundation on? Often times makeup is just as powerful with a lighter layer. Next time you apply your makeup, start minimally first and add as you need until you reach the optimal level of coverage and color.
Here's a challenge: Try sticking with the staple items you pulled out for the next month and see how simpler your makeup routine becomes!
